Wedding Bells!

On Monday, March 31st - my sister had some news to share with my brother and I. She had just gotten engaged and they set the date for April 26th, 2014. Holy crap! But she had asked me to help her out with the wedding but I never it could be so much work. But I love it! Helping my sister with her wedding just means so much to me and she also asked me to be the maid of honor for her wedding. Hell yes! I am just beyond excited and even though we don't have much on the budget and it's all so sudden, I know she will have a great time because she will be with her husband, and her close friends and family. When we are all together, we always have a blast! I am looking forward to it!

We are still looking for venues to do the reception in. We already have the church, which will be held at the groom's mother's church in D.C. My sister is thinking of doing her wedding a wee bit different from all the other weddings we have been to. She plans to have the ceremony, and afterwards go downstairs to have the food and have some funny moments together. Then go to Gaithersburg, MD for the reception for the party party part of the wedding with a DJ. Which at this point, seems like a great plan! With our budget, we can't afford a fancy place like the usual weddings. So for her to come up with that, it's such a great idea.

The bridesmaids and I will be wearing lavender spring dresses. We still have to decide whether we want it short or long (since the bride does not care the length of the dress) we have decided to go shopping this saturday for the whole day until we all agree on a dress that is affordable for all of us. This should be so interesting and fun at the same time. I love the bridesmaid, they are my family and I love them to death! I am not exactly sure about the groomsmen. I asked my brother about it and he said that the groom has not spoken to him about 1. being in the wedding as a groomsman and 2. about their suits/tuxedos. So, because of that, I do not want to be like stressed out about it. I am just gonna let them do their own thing. *Sigh* Lets see how this goes.
